Cookie Policy
1. About this policy
This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the rumo.to website. Rumo itself is delivered as a conversation over WhatsApp; this website exists primarily to give you information about the platform and to host our legal notices.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device to remember things between visits. Some cookies are strictly necessary for a site to function; others are used for analytics, advertising, or personalisation.
3. Cookies on rumo.to
We use exactly one functional cookie on the public pages of rumo.to:
-
rumo_lang— stores your chosen interface language (a two-letter code such asptoren) so that you don't have to re-pick it on every visit. It is set when you click the language toggle in the site header on a regional page. It contains no personal information beyond a language preference, and is not shared with any third party.
We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or any form of tracking on the public pages of rumo.to.
If you sign in to an administrative area of the site (which is not available to ordinary users), Trillium staff will receive a session cookie that is strictly necessary for keeping them signed in. This is a first-party cookie, used solely for that purpose.
4. Third-party services
The conversational Service runs over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Meta's own cookies and tracking apply to its apps and services and are governed by Meta's policies, not by this one.
5. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their
settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of a
site from working correctly. If you delete the rumo_lang
cookie, the site will simply re-detect your preferred language from
your browser on your next visit, and you can re-pick it via the
language toggle if needed.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add cookies or third-party measurement tools to the site in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies can be sent by post to Trillium Solutions Ltd at our registered office: Suite 7, Second Floor, Apple Market Hub, 9 Crown Passage, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 1JD, United Kingdom.
